FRANCES STERNHAGEN IN CHARACTER

Frances Sternhagen as she appeared in "The Return of Herbert Bracewell" at the Chelsea Playhouse. Oil on linen. Doing portraits in period costume is one of my favorite things, though it is difficult to arrange. Many of my private portrait commissions have been in costumes such as kimonos, Chinese empire coats, and other non-Western attire.

Milo O'Shea in the role of Herbert Bracewell. This was such a wonderful showcase for the comic talents of both actors.
